Welcome to the Green Upskills Project!
Mission
Our mission is to champion reskilling and upskilling by empowering educators, trainers, and facilitators,
as well as adult workers, with the knowledge required for a sustainable and eco-friendly economy. In
this new era, individuals are entrusted with the responsibility of greening their facility’s production
processes and conserving natural resources.
Over an 18-month period, our project aims to achieve the following specific objectives:
- Empower 12 adult educators, trainers, and community facilitators from the participating
communities with the knowledge and skills needed for sustainable development in a green
society. They will create educational designs tailored to the evolving needs of workers and
enterprises, ensuring a smooth transition to a green economy. - Foster green and sustainable development skills within the community, benefiting 45 adults
actively engaged in the labor market (15 per organization). These skills will not only facilitate a
transition to a circular economy but also encompass design thinking, creativity, adaptability,
resilience, and empathy. - Strengthen the capacity of participating organizations to provide training services for reskilling
and upskilling workers in companies. The focus will be on eco-friendly, green economy skills and
“skills for the future.”
The tangible outcomes of our project will include:
- A methodology and practical guide to enhance and develop green skills among adult educators, trainers, and adult education specialists.
- The creation of an online training course designed for adults in the labor market, both employers and employees, to cultivate green skills essential for a transition towards a green economy.
- Support for a training course designed for adult education specialists to equip them with the skills necessary to develop and deliver green educational services, aiding employers and employees in their journey towards the green economy and sustainable development.
The core objective of the Green Upskills Project is to offer solutions for an inclusive and equitable
transition. We strive to assist businesses in adapting to change, ensuring that the workforce, both
current and potential, possesses the relevant skills needed to mitigate job losses. By anticipating skills
requirements, we aim to play a pivotal role in a greener, more sustainable future.
